Just a tip......
I know a lot of people park their domains in hope of good revenue and clicks. Please keep in mind that these companies (parking companies) are in it to make a lot of money. For example: I have a friend that has had a domain parked at sedo for a few months. He has made $200 in revenue from that domain being parked. (Its a KILLER domain name, and these arent typical results). But, the moral of this story is this; Had he developed this domain into a 1 page mini site and paid $6 for hosting, he would have made about $2500 instead of the $200. You can do research on what certain keywords pay per click from google and others. His keyword was paying him $0.75 per at sedo, so they were keeping the difference. Had he had his own site, it would have paud him the full $6 per click. A big difference for 30 minutes of work building a mini site and paying $6 a month for hosting.
Just a thought. I suggest monetizing your own domain names. Hope this helps.

Interesting article if I can call it like that ... and you have a good point there. You cannot expect winning money without doing anything!

Re: Just a tip......
If ya'll want the site that allows you to find out what certain keywords pay, I can post it or PM it. Its worth the research, and will give you an idea on what to target your mini sites towards.
Let me add this about my original post.
To get these "mini sites" indexed, you must put some decent and original content on the page/s. Or google and others will see them as click farms and not index it.

Re: Just a tip......
I see your point with this, but the it would take a lot more than setting up a one page website to make some money. You would also have to get your new page search indexed, compete with already established websites for your keywords, and mainly try and get the visitors in.
The benefit of parking with a company like sedo is due to there sites popularity with search engines, a link to you parking page is a lot more likely to appear in the major search engines

Re: Just a tip......
I agree, but if you take the time and effort to get your site indexed, you will be much better off in the long run. You take what they are keeping in profits, and do the math, and you will come out much better. And one other secret is to use "not so common" keywords, meta tags, and content that way you are not competing with the already established large sites.
There are a few tools out there that are free that will help you to determine what keywords the larger sites are using.
Try using the misspelled versions of those keywords, or phrases.
Just a thought.
Thanks

Hi AMD, you make a valid point but surely in the wrong context!
parking a domain at sedo or anywhere else for that matter is not going to bring you traffic.
It is merely going to bring income from any existing traffic, be it type in or from previous use of the domain.

Re: Just a tip......
Hi Jameson, great article, rep added!
i think we are confusing two issues here guys.
Nameusers article is giving a good example of how to realize more profit from existing traffic that may already be coming to that domain, be it from type in traffic or traffic from previous use of the domain.
If you have a newly registered domain or a domain with no traffic then parking it is not going to earn you a dime unless its getting type in traffic.
if you intend to develop the domain or develop traffic to the domain then you are looking at a bigger picture, its then not just a case of putting a parking page or site on the domain, you have to optimize it, promote it and get it indexed.

Re: Just a tip......
Looks I am late to join this. Thanks for the sharing
But I am worry about the future for develop a one page mini site. Good Adsense doesn't like this kind of practice any more and start banning them from Adsense system. .
The fact is that only Adsense and YPN are really means good revenue, YPN is not open to non-us citizen yet. So you can not find good Ads network for these minisite now.
As a test, what I did is develop few of my domains for somewhile, then park it at Sedo (or with other Parking providers), looks the result is much better than parking a new registered /bought domain directly.
Reps added to NameUsers.

Re: Just a tip......
Thanks Julian. That is true about click farms (1 page mini sites), but as long as there is relevant content and more than a few lines of it, you should be fine. I make mine all with a few pages on like topics for the domain name.
Adbrite is another avenue besides adsense and YPN
YPN is far behind in terms of the number of available topics for ads

Yes, it is
My experience is that the earnings from Adbrite is not as high as Adsense, but take benefit since they are not so strict on Traffic source.
Currently I am using Adbrite in stead of Adsens because of I know some members use bulk traffic to promote their ref links during the contest

Re: Just a tip......
Nice approach to protect your adsense account. I make a little on adsense, but am very dissapointed in their strict rules, lack of withdraw options, and their payment terms. With adsense, you have to worry everyday that your account might get closed! And, you have to wait a month of sundays to get paid. When I have the time, I am going to all affiliate ads, and paid ads from others.

Re: Just a tip......
Julian, what are you using? a one page mini site? not good for much i feel, there are specific designed adsense sites for this that have several optimized pages.
I have two packages that i have PLR for, ill post them in "other than domains" at special price for SDNF members.
I have a cheap package of 150 adsense sites, then i have a high quality package that have admin panels that make it much easier to customize and update them.
